If you’ve never heard of Antigua, we can’t really blame you: it’s a little twin island country (Antigua and Barbuda) set between the meeting point of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Naturally this quaint little paradise, which is home to 365 different beaches, made for the perfect setting for a trip for the Girl Two Doors Down – where we flip-flopped around without a care!
A quaint resort and a wonderful stay! We had a fabulous time wading in the warm pool next to the swim-up bar, couldn’t get enough of the friendly, entertaining staff or the complementary sailboats and kayaks, and loved strolling the beach at sunset.
A vacation isn’t quite complete without a little gamble to get your excitement fired up, and we particularly loved cashing in at King’s Casino in St. John’s. Here you can watch giant cruise ships dock and get some shopping in at the many local, colorful shops.
Don’t pass up on the seafood while visiting this paradise island! If you’re like us, you might just find it’s all you want to eat.
And if you’re even more like us, you’ll probably be drinking rum punch throughout your stay – true to the Caribbean vibe. Choose an all-inclusive to make your rum punch endlessly flowing!
Definitely remember to pack your long summer dress – floral print encouraged! – as well as your designer flip flops, like a pair of our very own! We couldn’t help but wear our Vintage Diamond Ring black flip flops, and the wedding flip flops we happened to pack also matched perfectly with the white wedding chapel at our resort.
Well, that’s that! A quick peek into life as the Girl Two Doors Down in the Caribbean – where the opportunities to be flip flop fabulous are just as endless as the beaches. Or at least one for every day of the year.
